Active since 2019, KYNO works across social media to share a love of film, show people the interesting side of the world of cinema and bring them the latest news.
As well as sharing quotes, clips and interesting facts from films, we publish podcasts on the subject. Beyond our own work, we also support film projects in Azerbaijan.
We try to work with people who are working to develop cinema in Azerbaijan. For example, every year we work with the Sevil International Women's Documentary Film Festival and the ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival, supporting them with event management, social media, special events and special film screenings, moderation, panel discussions and more.
SEVIL
Running since 2020, SevilFest brings documentaries made by women directors, or dealing with gender issues, to audiences in Baku and in the regions. The festival takes its name from Jafar Jabbarly's play “Sevil”, and alongside screenings its programme includes workshops and masterclasses.
ANIMAFILM
Held in Baku since 2018, ANIMAFILM is Azerbaijan's first international animation festival. With a competition programme, masterclasses, and screenings and workshops for children, it brings together children, young people and animation professionals.
